Error when adding addon domains: domainadmin-domainexistsglobal

Have you seen an error such as "domainadmin-domainexistsglobal" when you attempted to add a add-on or sub-domain to cPanel?

  1. Check the DNS zone of the corresponding (main ) domain and see whether there is any DNS record is already added for the addon or sub-domain that you are trying to add.

  2. If it exists, make sure that there is not a sub-domain that is present and also related to the same name in your cPanel;

  3. If it does exist, you cannot add the new domain up until you remove it and thus the corresponding entries in DNS zone.

  4. If no sub-domin exists but a DNS entry exists, that’s probably a left-over of any previous domain management activity. So simply remove it and add your new domain, it should work.
